Yesterday I attended Unique Los Angeles - what an amazing event. If you're in the Los Angeles area - the show will run today from 11am-7pm.
Hands down my favorite booth was Nicole Cote Studios - custom metalware - which translates to mind-blowing jewelry that is energetically uplifting and beautiful.
Nicole cuts most of her pieces - which include silver, metal and wood from all over the world. Of all the jewelry booths -this one is by far superior. The jewelry combinations are unique and quietly beautiful.
We also loved Catia Chien's art prints. She was sold out of her originals (which is a good thing) and talked to us about her process for commission work. Catia takes a word or story and will create a customized piece of art.
I loved going through Spike Designs re-purposed leather bags, cuffs and purses - everything is made from recycled leather jackets, pants, etc. It's so soft and she uses stamps to embellish many of her pieces.
Jake & Micah - for super lucky pets! is a cat's fantasy - there's sushi toys stuffed with catnip and handmade breakaway collars with jingle bells.
Clothing, tea, art prints, hats, jelly - you name it and it's probably here.
There's an eco-friendly section as well as a "Rockin' Babies and Cool Kids" section.
Even if you don't live in Los Angeles, you can connect via the web to most of the vendors.
If you're looking for a unique and fun gift for someone, then Unique Los Angeles is the place.
I'd love to hear your comments and discoveries.
Ok this makes me wanna find something unique here in Syracuse!
