April 15th is almost here. Are your taxes complete?
I've started a new tradition with my tax preparer and it has nothing to do with taxes.
I figure that accountants and tax preparers are swamped with work to make the April 15th deadline and with that comes some not-so-grateful customers.
In addition to preparing my taxes, I also prepare something else to take to my tax lady - flowers.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm not "bribing" her so I don't have to pay taxes, yet I am giving her a bit of cheer in her days filled with "rush-rush, hurry, hurry."
I find that my small gesture changes the structure of the air I am breathing and somehow a bit more peace and happiness settle into the room.
How can you change the molecular structure of the air? What might happen if you started "showing up" with the intention of peace in times of chaos?
I'd love to hear your comments and discoveries.
I took African Violets for everyone in my meditation group. We meet monthly. The group changes with who is there each month. I wanted to thank the group collectively for their support. It was interesting the responses. Some did not know what to do with the plants. I felt the leader at first was at a loss, too. The unexpected often takes people by surprise. Overall I thought people where appreciative but were in the unknown of how to react.
